"Peace and serenity in a painting"

Juul and Hans have been a painters 'couple for several years, who live, work and meditate together. They produce all their work in a small studio at the back of their house. Using their own house as an exposition area, they open up their work to the public.

They have a passion for Buddhist art, wich has inspired them to keep shapes and colours simple. In their home you will find a large collection of paintings depicting Buddha, painted in different forms as found throughout the Eastern world. Juul and Hans are world travellers and have recently returned to The Netherlands after five years of breathing in different cultures. During their travels they have taken many photos which provide them with inspiration for their paintings.
The paintings are mainly snapshots of Buddha statues. The Buddha image is usually only partly shown, but the colours tell the rest of the story. Each of the paintings radiates a sence of peace and serenity and can be used as a focus for meditation.
